Using the Service
DomainLookup is a free tool for looking up public domain registration data. You may use it for lawful purposes such as research, due diligence, security checks, troubleshooting and education. No account or payment is required.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Send automated bulk queries or try to circumvent the fair-use rate limit.
- Use results to send spam, harass anyone, or collect personal data in breach of applicable law (including GDPR and India's DPDP Act).
- Attack, overload or interfere with DomainLookup or the registry services it relies on.
- Scrape, mirror or resell the service or its aggregated output without written permission.
- Use the tool to facilitate fraud, phishing or any illegal activity.
API and Bulk Access
The public website is intended for individual, interactive lookups. If you need bulk lookups, an API for your own product, or a commercial data feed, contact Access Authority to discuss access. Automated requests beyond the fair-use limit may be blocked without notice.
Accuracy of Data
Results come from third-party registries and registrars via RDAP and WHOIS, and from public DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers. We display them as published and cannot guarantee they are complete, current or error-free. Registry data can change at any time, and some registries publish far less than others.
"Appears to be available" is not a guarantee that a domain can be registered. Reserved, premium, blocked or auction names can look available. Always confirm with a registrar before making a purchase decision.
No Professional Advice
DomainLookup does not provide legal, financial, security or investment advice. Domain records should be one input in your decision, not the only one. If you are investigating fraud or a legal matter, consult a qualified professional.
Intellectual Property
The DomainLookup name, design, source code, layout and original written content are the property of Access Authority and are protected by copyright. You may not copy, redistribute or create derivative works from the site's design or code without permission. Domain records themselves are public information published by registries and are not owned by DomainLookup.
Availability
The service is provided "as is" and "as available". It may be slow or unavailable if a registry is down, if a rate limit is reached, or during maintenance. Features may change or be removed without notice.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Access Authority is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential losses resulting from the use of, or reliance on, DomainLookup results — including missed domain purchases, security decisions made from the data, or business losses.
Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Access Authority from any claims, damages or expenses arising from your misuse of the service or your breach of these terms.
Reporting Abuse
If you believe DomainLookup is being used to facilitate abuse, or if you are a rights holder with a complaint about content on the site, contact Access Authority through the developer page. We respond to legitimate reports promptly.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in India, unless local consumer law provides otherwise.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of DomainLookup means you accept the current version.
